#101 - Here's the Beef

OK, we can chalk up another one.  Last night we got the quarter steer I ordered through our CSA at  Ninety pounds delivered to our doorstep.

Our freezer is now very full, with all manner of cuts; top sirloin, porterhouse, flank steak, chuck roast, brisket...the list goes on.  At the rate we have (not) been eating meat, this should last us the better part of a year.

And it should be way healthier than the stuff we previously purchased.  I theorize that it's better to buy locally, sustainably raised meat and encourage the guys who are doing it right than it is to suffer the occasional lapse into Carl's Junior or a Sausage McMuffin

Can't wait to try it.  Maybe a pot roast in the dutch oven this Sunday.  Will keep you posted.
