We took the opportunity to have her birthday dinner at the Gastrognome, or more correctly Restaurant Gastrognome, and to check off another item on my list. Sadly, we took no pictures at dinner, but it was very nice. Gastrognome was always a favorite spot when we lived in Idyllwild forever ago. It's still quite nice, although I think their fine Scotch menu is more enjoyable on a cold winter's night.
